Safe Browsing & Shopping in Store

We would like to let you know about the steps Roomes is taking during these uncertain times. The health and safety of our customers and employees is a top priority. As COVID-19 continues to impact on our daily lives, we have been closely monitoring the situation and are following the advice of published by the Government.

Thank you for your continued patience, we are pleased that the store is now open and would like to outline the steps we have taken to make Roomes a safe shopping experience.

Our Car Park is open as usual, for Customers visiting the Store. We will ask you to enter the store via the front entrance, as the store will be operating a one-way flow system. You will exit via the Car park.

We will monitor the numbers visiting the Store, however there will be plenty of room to social distance. You will be:

  • Greeted on the entrance to the store and we will run through the protocols with you
  • Hand sanitisers will be available at the entrance and throughout the store
  • You will be asked to follow a social distance in store and follow the routes shown, which will be marked on the floor
  • Our Staff will be equipped with the appropriate PPE
  • We have complimentary masks available for customers without one
  • Each Sales Desk will be equipped with
    • Perspex screens
    • Full range of sanitising and cleaning materials
  • We will be operating an enhanced daily cleaning regime

We have applied Staingard Sanitiser+ product to all our Beds, Sofas and Fabric Chairs. Leather products have been similarly treated with Staingard Saniter+ Leather Protection cream while hard surfaces are also treated using Staingard Sanitiser+.

  • In Store, we will be following all the government safety guidelines to ensure social distancing thought-out the transaction
  • Online – via our Wishlist service. Highlight what you are interested in and we will contact you to talk through the options remotely
  • Appointment – contact us via our Make Yourself a Home page to book an appointment, which means you can enjoy trying out your favourite sofas, dining sets and beds with the undivided attention of your own personal furniture expert

Balances can be paid by card over the phone remotely or by Bank Transfer.

Any balances will be taken prior to collection over the phone. We will ask you to bring a copy of your order and proof of ID. Please be aware that we will bring your purchase to you vehicle but at present will be unable to load it for you.

Safe Deliveries & Collections

As COVID-19 continues to impact on our daily lives, we have been closely monitoring the situation and are following the advice of published by the Government.

Thank you for your continued patience. We know some of you may be frustrated with the delay in receiving your order and we want to reassure you that we haven’t been taking any of these decisions lightly. We want to deliver your goods as much as you want to receive them.

In line with the latest Government announcements on COVID-19 and using the government guidelines about Working Safely in Customers Homes, we can confirm that we are able to re-commence our 2 person delivery service.

Our deliveries will be performed by our highly skilled delivery teams, who will enter your home whilst observing social distancing at all times. Our delivery drivers will be equipped with personal protection equipment, sanitising products and adhere to a strict hygiene regime.

Prior to booking a delivery our team will call you to confirm that no one in the household is self-isolating or has symptoms of Covid-19. If that is the case we will arrange a date for a later time. We run through the procedures for the day and confirm your appointment and instructions by e-mail.

Deliveries will be carried out Monday-Friday, subject to post code.

On the day of delivery we ask that there is a clear route to the room of your choice and that you open the windows for ventilation. On delivery the drivers ask from a safe distance where goods are to be delivered and placed in the room. We will then ask that you isolate in a separate room.

Your goods will be assembled in the usual way and all packaging will be removed.

We will not ask for a signature for the product but will ask for a verbal confirmation that all is OK and record that on our Delivery App together with any other comments.

Regrettably, for the time being, our collect and dispose service is unavailable but we will be able to discuss alternative arrangements with you.

For safety purposes we are giving our teams more time to make their deliveries, and our warehouse will be working at reduced capacity therefore it may take a little longer to get your delivery to you.

To lessen contact we can accept Balance Payments either by card, over the phone or by BACS Transfer. These are due as usual 3 days prior to delivery.

For smaller items contactless collections are available from our distribution centre, by appointment only.

On the day of fitting we ask that there is a clear route to the room of your choice and that you open the windows for ventilation. On the day of fitting the fitter will ask from a safe distance where goods are to be fitted. We will then ask that you isolate in a separate room.

The flooring will be fitted in the normal way and waste and packaging removed.

We will not as for a signature for the product but will ask for a verbal confirmation that all is OK, which will be noted on you paperwork.

As restrictions within England have started to ease, the majority of our suppliers are now taking the necessary steps to recommence production and to begin fulfilling previous orders.
