COVID-19 Measures

Safe browsing & shopping in store

Following the latest easing of Government Covid regulations, we would like to update you on our approach at Roomes.

The health and safety of our customers and employees is a top priority and we want to make sure we’re doing our bit as the country gets back to normal. So in line with the most recent guidelines and the government’s advice to continue wearing masks now they are optional we’ll be recommending our customers wear a mask in our store if they are able to do so, while Covid cases remain high across the country.

We’re also advising our team members to continue wearing masks in close contact areas and will be keeping social distancing measures around the store for a little while longer yet, while we wait for infection rates to fall and it’s a little safer for us all.

Our Car Park is open as usual, for Customers visiting the Store. We will ask you to enter the store via the front entrance, as the store will be operating a one-way flow system. You will exit via the Car park.

Our opening hours can be found here

We will monitor the numbers visiting the Store, however there will be plenty of room to social distance.

For your safety:

  • Although the Government have changed the law on mask wearing in enclosed spaces, their advice remains to continue wearing masks as an optional choice. We will therefore be recommending our customers wear a mask in our store if they are able to do so. If you have forgotten yours, don’t worry as we have a ready supply available in store.
  • Hand sanitisers are available at the entrance and throughout the store

Existing orders and Supplier lead times

Whilst our suppliers have returned to work, there are still many un-seen restrictions in their workplaces as they comply with safe working regulations.

Additionally, the lay-off period has meant an increase in demand not only for furniture, but all the component parts involved in its manufacture including foams, springs, fabrics and mechanisms. Shipping times both for complete orders and components from around the world have also become extended as ports and logistics companies tackle the backlog, increased demand and the consequences of the pandemic.

We have found that lead-times on orders have become extended and on occasion unpredictable. We track all our customers’ orders and if we should receive information of a delay we will of course update you as soon as we know.

In these unprecedented and unpredictable times we appreciate your understanding, we are however in the hands of our suppliers to give us the best and latest information available
